Jaguar from Jacksonville of VH1’s “For the Love of Ray J” season two took time out of her busy schedule to be the forth installment in our “Sexy Six” series that feature the girls from different VH1 reality shows, brought to us by the lovely people of Eleven 11 Media.

Real name Courtney Cameron, Jaguar thoroughly discusses not only her time spent on the show, but goes into in-depth detail about her time around Ray J and their dates.

With a strong background in modeling, Jaguar has spent time as a video vixen – shooting videos with Lil Wayne, Birdman, Chris Brown, T-Pain and many more, Jaguar tells us about her time around rappers and you can bet that we try to get any crazy rap tour stories out of her! Does Jaguar budge? Find out!

However her true passion lays in singing and she began to believe in her singing ability after the legendary Brandy provided her co-sign! Also learn about “Queenpin”, a film shot in Florida that casts Jaguar.

A multi-talented entertainment threat, read on as we get to the very core of Jaguar!

Interview: We are right here with Courtney Cameron, otherwise known as Jaguar from “For the Love of Ray J 2” on VH1. The first thing I want to know about Courtney Cameron is, how did you get the nickname Jaguar?

Jaguar: (Laughs) Actually, it was because I’m from Jacksonville. He [Ray J] decided to name me after the Jacksonville Jaguars. I wanted to be named something pretty but he was like oh, the football team! And I became Jaguar.

Interview: It sounds like it’s not something you particularly like, but has it stuck with you since?

Jaguar: Yeah. I hated it at first but now I like it. I wanted something that represented where I was from. It’s subtle but I like it now. I love it.

Interview: So you love it now, perfect. How do you look back on your experiences on Ray J 2?

Jaguar: With very mixed emotions. It was fun. I was going crazy while I was there because we had no clocks, radios, TV, computer – no anything. After awhile, I was kind of glad I got kicked off. I was going really crazy (laughs). But now I miss the house! I just miss being around everybody and being able to lay by the pool. I miss it now. It was a fun and good experience. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’m glad I did it and I’m glad it happened.

Interview: So that leads to the question, would you do it again?

Jaguar: Definitely. I would totally do it again. I wouldn’t change a thing; actually I would change a couple of things, but I would do the whole experience again if I had too (laughs).

Interview: So let’s get into that. Pinpoint at least one thing you would change if you could go back?

Jaguar: The one thing I would change is, I would have been a little more vocal about everything. A lot of girls, they tried me a lot and I was so scared to do something crazy. I had family watching and I was really closely watching every move that I made. I wish I would have just been me and went 100% with it. That’s the only thing I would change.

Interview: What would you say was your best experience on the show?

Jaguar: All the dates (laughs). Those were fun. It was away from all the girls, just me and Ray [J] chilling and drinking, and having fun. It was fun, the most fun part actually. I got to ride around with him and that was the best part; just riding around by ourselves.

Interview: Did you have a particular favorite date with Ray J?

Jaguar: I would say the second date. That was when we had the little bed scene or whatever. We just rode off on his lamb; speeding down the freeway in L.A. it was fun.

Interview: On the flipside, what was your worst experience?

Jaguar: Probably when the girls tried to gang up on me and get me kicked off (laughs). They went and told Ray J that I was just there for my career and all this crap. It was whatever. It got the whole house into this big fight. It was crazy. That was the worst part.

Interview: Why do you think they ganged up on you like that?

Jaguar: I think that they felt like I was a threat. I kept winning all of the challenges and winning all of the dates. I think they thought they needed to get me out of the house, so they made up stuff about me and went to tell Ray J. They all kept it a big secret so I would get eliminated. I’m like are you kidding me? Even the girls I was close to, that hurt the most. We’re supposed to be the tightest in the house and then they go and try to get me eliminated. That was crazy.

Interview: What are some of the other things that they made up and told Ray J?

Jaguar: That was really it. They didn’t really mess with me; it was just that one thing about me supposedly just being there for my career. They said I was just there for the camera, not for Ray J and so on. They tried to get me fired!

Interview: Do you think Ray J believed them?

Jaguar: No. I was straight up with him and told him exactly what my intentions were with him. That really wasn’t my goal at the time anyway. I went up there with an open head and open heart. Ray J felt like I was genuine because I ended up staying in the house after my elimination. He definitely didn’t listen to the she-say.

Interview: Ok good. Let’s get into a bit of your background. You began modeling at the age of four. How were you discovered at such a young age?

Jaguar: My parents! My parents were like short-lived show parents (laughs). I did dance classes, modeling and piano lessons – all of that type of stuff when I was really young.

Interview: You’re also a video vixen and a backup dancer for several major artists. Go ahead and name off some of the artists you’ve either appeared in music videos with, or even on tours with.

Jaguar: I was in a lot of local artist’s videos. The first major video that I did was Chris Brown & T-Pain’s “Kiss Kiss” video. And after that, that opened up more doors. I was in the collabo video by DJ Khaled, Birdman, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and so on – the “100 Million Dollars” video. I did a few of those. As far as tours, I was the backup dancer for a local rapper, but we ended up opening for the Lil Wayne & Juelz Santana “I Can’t Feel My Face” tour. And then we did the Rick Ross and Plies tour. We were on the road for a while with those two tours happening back to back.

Interview: That’s great. Do you have any crazy stories to share with us from spending so much time with all of these people?

Jaguar: (Laughs) Crazy stories? I pretty much stayed to myself. I was like a fly on the wall. I didn’t get into too much crazy stuff. I wanted to keep it professional. I didn’t want to ruin my reputation like that. I really didn’t see too much craziness on tour, besides us just being us and having fun. Nothing crazy like that happened (laughs).

Interview: Ok. And your true passion belongs to singing, correct? Tell us a little about that.

Jaguar: Yes! I’ve always been musically oriented. The past year or so, I’ve really been thinking about it hard. The thing about is, when I went to a show, I talked to Brandy and she pulled me aside with no cameras there and said, “Jaguar! You’re voice, it’s amazing, you should be singing.” She made it seem like I had to do something with it. That was the moment where I said, “Damn, Brandy is telling me this?” Brandy is a legend.

Interview: That is a big co-sign. Now that not only Brandy believes in it, but more importantly you believe in it, what are your immediate plans for your singing career?

Jaguar: Right now I’m going full force. I moved to Houston and am currently getting a bunch of new producers together. We’re just gonna’ try and find that one single, push it and go hard. We’re gonna’ see what I can do with it. I’m gonna’ go 100% with it. I’m putting everything into this project. That’s what I’m doing now – just focusing on getting the music done. I want to push it and see where it goes from there.

Interview: Where can the fans hear some of the music?

Jaguar: It’s on my MySpace although I haven’t really checked my MySpace in a while (laughs). But there is some music up there, www.mysspce.com/redcoco. They can hear my “Neighbors” single on there. I’m currently having a website built and people will be able to hear more of my music on my website, which will be www.vh1jaguar.com. That will be out real soon.

Interview: How soon? Do you have a date for the website so the fans know when they can start checking it out?

Jaguar: In a month they will be able to get more, but for now they can just check my single on that MySpace page. And then in a month, I’ll have more of my singles and a bunch of pictures on the website which should be done within the next month.

Interview: Ok. So what’s next up for Jaguar?

Jaguar: Music? World domination? (Laughs). No, I’m just trying to get my foot in the door and try to hear what my sound is like. I want to get as much exposure musically as possible. I want to go hard with the music and that’s just it. That’s what I’m focused on and that’s all I’m doing.

Interview: I like that. Well best of luck to you Jaguar! I really appreciate your time Jaguar; do you have any last words before I let you go?

Jaguar: Check me out! Follow me on Twitter at www.twitter.com/vh1jaguar. Watch out because I will have my singles coming out soon. Oh yeah, I currently have a film that is out called “Queenpin” and I play one of the main characters. You have to watch that! It’s called “Queenpin.” I’m also working on some other indie films. Look out because I’ll be all over the place.

Interview: Let’s give the people a word on that. “Queenpin”, where can they find that?

Jaguar: “Queenpin”, we actually shot it in Florida so it’s actually available in the small mom and pop stores in Florida. We’re looking to get it out nationally. It’s not gonna’ be out in the movie theatres, but you’ll be able to buy it at Wal-Mart and stuff like that. That’ll be out soon.

Interview: And what about these upcoming indie films your working on?

Jaguar: I have two different scripts that I’m supposed to be working on. In terms of the two movies and their titles, they haven’t been decided yet. But I do have two scripts I’m working on. I’m just being me.

Interview: Well that is perfect Jaguar! Do you have any last words?

Jaguar: That’s it! You got to the core of me (laughs).

Interview: I got to the core of Jaguar (laughs)

Jaguar: (Laughs) yes you did!

  1. That guy just looks dangerous. I doubt that six years will rehabilitate him, probably nothing will. Too bad one of Paris’ bodyguards didn’t see him with a knife, then we probably wouldn’t even have to try him, just bury him. :-)

  2. I’m not sure I altogether agree with you on this article. Even so I am normally open to new concepts. May well have to think about it. Solid blog by the way.
